Certifications and the environment

... we have chosen to implement the FSC® and PEFC ™ certifications!

Our Company has obtained the dual FSC® and PEFC ™ certification from one of the most highly accredited bodies, the Bureau Veritas Certification Authority. The FSC® and PEFC ™ brands elevate our printers to a high level of Social and Environmental Responsibility, contributing to the assurance of responsible forest resource management.

In order to maintain certified status, our Company must undergo regular audits with the the certifying agencies, continuously demonstrating that its corporate procedures comply with chain of custody principles for the sustainable management of paper raw materials, as required by the relevant standards.

FSC® Certification (Forest Stewardship Council®) is named after a non-profit NGO, founded in 1993 in Canada by representatives from environmental groups and commercial enterprises active in the distribution of wood products.

This organisation's certification is the key to a chain of custody framework which ensures that wood and cellulose products follow a comprehensive traceability path, ultimately guaranteeing the consumer that the raw materials are obtained from certified forests.

FSC certification, active in 57 countries around the world, is supported by major environmental NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations) such as WWF and Greenpeace, assuring consumers that wood raw materials meet high standards of environmental, social and economic sustainability.

FSC® certified products are available on request.

PEFC ™ stands for: Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification and "Forest management certification." It refers to recognised and proven verification procedures leading to the issue, by an independent body, of a certificate attesting that the forms of forest management meet given sustainability requirements "".

A fundamental problem in the application of eco-certification systems lies in the definition of criteria and indicators for"Sustainable Forest Management" (SFM), ie. quantitative and qualitative parameters (descriptive) that, when periodically measured or observed, enable the assessment of the environmental performance and sustainability in forest management systems.

Aware of the extensive impact of human actions on the ecosystem, we have chosen to work exclusively with certified paper-producers and printing facilities.

We select the best business partners for ourselves and our customers. This guarantees that the production cycles and raw materials meet pollution prevention norms and the requirements of European standards, contributing to a continuous reduction of environmental impact and improvements in safety.
